Many people dread Mondays. The thought of going back to work. Starting another long week. Back to the grind.
Me? I kind of like Mondays. No I love Mondays.
The kids go back to school for the week and I get the chance for a little “me time.” I also take the time to plan out the week, get organized and just generally enjoy a little quiet. I even get to shower in peace which believe me, doesn’t happen often with three children.
It feels good. This “me time” thing. I need to do it more often.
This week, my goal is to exercise first thing in the morning. Once the house is empty and quiet, I am going to fire up the Wii. I am going to do Your Shape with the same intensity that I put towards getting my week together.
I admit it, I get easily distracted. I started about ten other things at the same that I started this blog post. I multi-task. I multi-task my multi-tasks. It is kind of crazy and dumbfounds my husband. He cannot even stand to use my laptop where I always have 10 windows/tabs open in my browser at one time. It hurts his head.
This week, my “me time” is going to be 100% about me. I am going to work on self-improvement. I will not think about other things I should be doing because exercise is what I should be doing. I won’t calculate my checkbook balance or compile my grocery shopping list in my head while I work out. I am going to work out with Jenny. Perfect those exercises and concentrate a little harder on making sure that I am achieving everything that I possibly can when it comes to Your shape.
I am going to take back my Monday and make it all about me. Well at least until I pick up the kids from karate and the usual mayhem ensues.
What can you do to take back your “me time” this week?
